Search Tips:
Last
Name:(required)
If you
are not sure of the correct spelling, you can enter variations
separated with ORs. Example: Cline or Kline Example: Green or
Greene If a person is commonly referred to by a single name, enter
it in this field. Example: Madonna
First
Name:(optional)
You
can enter nick names or other common variations separated with
ORs. Example: Richard or Dick or Rick or Rich
Find
major stories only (optional)
If you
want to limit your search to articles that are primarily about the
subject by checking that your search terms appear in the Headline
or Lead portion of the target article before retrieving it, please
indicate your request in the notes section. This eliminates
articles where your search terms are just mentioned in passing
somewhere in the story. If you do not specifically request so in
the notes, we will retrieve any article that matches your search
criteria. If you provide information in the notes section for this
purpose, please make it clear.
Date:(optional)
You
can also narrow your search to documents published within the date
range you select, by indicating so in the notes section on the
order form. Simply choose the date range that works best for you
from the following choice: previous week, previous month, previous
6 months, previous year, previous 2 years, all available years. If
you provide information in the notes section for this purpose,
please make it clear.
Important
Notes:
If you provide
a very common name, there may be too many possible matches, as in
the case of John Smith, or for a celebrity name such as Michael
Jackson. In this case, we will have to limit the period covered to
a more recent period (ie progressively reduce from 10 years to 1
week until a workable set of the most recent headlines is found).
Also keep in mind this is a name search only, so there if the name
is common, there is no way to know/guarantee that the matching
results are your subject's only and not that of a subject with a
matching or similar name.
